Glowing lights wrapped inside deep darkness: looking at the inspiration of Pat Murray Newark Artist

Pat Murray Newark artist brought up in West Bridgford is going from strength to strength. The work she does is growing and developing all the time.

Pat trained at Leicester and London College of Print working as an illustrator for many years and is now a full-time artist. She lives in Newark and you can see how being able to work and walk and converse in an historic and yet urban environment has enabled her to keep alive the sense of inner and outer worlds.

Patr Murray

You feel movement and memory in her work, respect yet challenge of line, form, boundary and colour. She grasps the timelessness of everything that’s under the surface of life: it’s exciting to watch the journey of her work evolve.

  1. It’s great to know an artist and watch their work grow: Pat Murray, formerly of West Bridgford (an illustrator who spent many spare hours at West Bridgford Comp fundraisers creating portraits of parents and children!)
