St Georges Medical Practice Musters Road West Bridgford completed seven hundred covid vaccinations on Saturday morning (27th April 2024) for immuno compromised patients and over 75s. I’m on the patient participation group and worked with Claire Bicknell who chairs our group (with Malcolm Ginever) to welcome the patients, take them through reception to their vaccination where GPs, nursing and support staff delivered the vaccinations with care and professionalism.

The atmosphere was upbeat, everyone knew why they were there, what they were doing and worked with discipline and precision, although the patients were there for a treatment the atmosphere was uplifting, there was humour, friendliness and a shared sense of purpose.

What a difference a couple of years makes: remember the marquees, the army, the queues…..!
